Julian E. Gray, CELA
Julian is the founder of Julian Gray Associates and has provided assistance to a variety of clients and their families for over 20 years in the areas of Medicaid planning, Veterans Benefits and related Estate Planning and Tax issues. Julian is a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Penn State University and his law degree from Duquesne University School of Law.

Caitlin E. Harper, CELA, Of Counsel
Caitlin grew up in Moon Township, Pennsylvania. She graduated summa cum laude from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa honorary society. She went on to work in the admissions department of a national skilled nursing facility, where her interest and experience in the area of Elder Law began. She earned a Juris Doctor degree from Temple University James E. Beasley School of Law in Philadelphia.

Matthew T. Kikta, CELA
Matt grew up in Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations. Matt played football for the Dukes while earning his undergraduate degree. Matt also received his Juris Doctor from Duquesne University and worked as a teaching assistant for the Legal Research & Writing program.

Colin Adair Morgan, CELA
Colin grew up in Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Allegheny College, located in Meadville, Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in History and a minor in Music Performance (percussion). In his senior year, he was inducted into Phi Alpha Delta, an honorary fraternity recognizing outstanding community service. Colin’s first experience in the law occurred while interning for Pennsylvania Supreme Court Justice Max Baer during summer breaks from Allegheny College. Colin earned his Juris Doctor degree from The Duquesne University School of Law.

Frank A. Petrich, CFP®, CELA, Of Counsel
Mr. Petrich, a Mt. Lebanon, PA resident was the first attorney certified as an Elder Law attorney in Western Pennsylvania. This certification was granted by the National Elder Law Foundation to him in 1999. He is presently of counsel to Gray Elder Law.
Mr. Petrich has a B.S. degree in Economics from the University of Pittsburgh, which he obtained while working full time at Pitt’s Health Law Center and a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public Health. He then received his Law Degree from Duquesne University while employed as Assistant Executive Director at West Penn Hospital, also serving as in-house counsel after obtaining his law degree. Mr. Petrich was then President and CEO of a 600 bed mid-western hospital, including a nursing home and psychiatric facility, before his return home to Pittsburgh.

Jennifer Rose, CELA
Jennifer grew up in Point Pleasant, West Virginia. She graduated magna cum laude from Bethany College in Wheeling, West Virginia with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. During her time as an undergrad, Jennifer studied abroad in London, England, served as secretary of her college class and was president of the school’s music society. She went on to work in the activities department of a non-profit skilled nursing facility and subsequently earned a Juris Doctorate degree from The University of Pittsburgh School of Law

Karen S. Timko, CELA
Karen grew up in Youngstown, Ohio. She attended Youngstown State University where she received her Bachelors degree in Psychology and Nursing. Karen then received a certificate in Nurse Anesthesia from the St. Elizabeth Hospital School for Nurse Anesthetists and practiced as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. She received her juris doctor from the Ohio State University.

Courtney Bachik, Client Relations Manager
Courtney is the Client Relations Manager for our Firm. She is the first point of contact for potential new clients assisting them in reviewing their case scenario. She offers an information exchange and nurtures new client relationships through phone conversations and by providing planning information to them. She introduces the firm and its services by supplying a variety of articles, brochures and reference materials to help educate new clients about public benefits planning, tax and estate planning. Once planning options are identified, she facilitates the pairing of the new client with our experienced attorneys and assistant teams to further review and assess each individual case to optimally meet each family’s needs.
Courtney grew up in Washington, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She values the confidence of our clients and continues to excel at assuring their overall importance to the firm.
Courtney currently resides in Bethel Park.
Tina Borello, Business Manager
Tina is the Business Manager with Julian Gray Associates. In this position she works directly with Julian, the Firm’s Owner, in the areas of billing and accounting.
Tina grew up in Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania. She has over fourteen years of experience in the mortgage industry. Prior to joining the Firm, Tina worked directly with the elderly as a settlement agent for a reverse mortgage lender at one of the largest and most experienced providers of transaction services to the U.S. mortgage and real estate industry. She enjoys working with the elderly and takes pride in client satisfaction.
Tina currently resides in Chippewa Township with her husband Mark and two children, Alexa and Mario.
Susan Cardello, Elder Care Advocate/Social Worker
As a Licensed Social Worker for Julian Gray Associates, Susan brings over 25 years of experience in healthcare. Susan acts as a liaison for clients and their families as their healthcare and living arrangements transition. She was born and raised in Pittsburgh and graduated from Juniata College with a Bachelor’s of Sciences Degree in Social Work and Business. She then completed her Master’s Degree in Social Work, with a Certificate in Gerontology, from the University of Pittsburgh.
Susan resides in Upper St. Clair with her husband Chris and their daughter, Gianna. They enjoy travelling and spending time with family and friends.
Diana Danby, Planning Specialist
Diana is a Planning Assistant at Julian Gray Associates. Diana handles daily interaction with clients and their families as well as document preparation and related support services to the attorneys.
Diana has over two decades of experience in the legal field working as a liaison between attorneys and clients. She is skilled at composing legal documents and prides herself on being able to meet and exceed client satisfaction. Diana served as the Director of Sponsor Relations for the Pittsburgh Three Rivers Regatta ensuring contract fulfillment and sponsor satisfaction and was the Director of Advertising and Market Communications for a major communications company where she positioned the company for better exposure and greater marketability.
Diana resides in Robinson Township and enjoys cooking, scuba diving and spending time with family and friends.
Evan Fabi, Office Coordinator
Evan is the first to welcome our clients and families when calling or visiting Julian Gray Associates. His organizational and time-management skills are vital to overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Firm. Evan has over 12 years of experience in sales, customer service and operational support. He currently resides in Carnegie with his wife Rachel and their two dogs Leo and Cali.
Evan grew up in Kansas City, MO. His interests include music, beer brewing, camping, and dogs.
Rhagan Moore, Planning Specialist
Rhagan is a Planning Specialist at Julian Gray Associates and has worked in our Elder Law Practice Group since 2006. Rhagan works closely with our clients requesting and gathering information for initial consultations and assisting with the preparation of Eldercare, Veterans Benefits and Estate Plans. She also acts as a liaison to communicate and provide status information between our attorneys and their clients.
Rhagan attended the University of Pittsburgh and Duff’s Business Institute of Pittsburgh. She has an Associate Degree in Paralegal and Legal Studies. Rhagan began working in the legal field in 1992. Her background includes working as a Paralegal and Legal Assistant in a wide range of legal practice areas.
Rhagan lives in North Fayette Township with her husband Mike, their four children and the family dog.
Valerie Moore, Operations Manager
Valerie is involved in many areas of firm business including human resources, operations, and logistics. She is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and has an extensive professional background in sales, marketing, operations as well as personnel and program management.
Valerie resides in Franklin Park with her husband Steve and three children. They enjoy volunteering in their community, skiing, camping, and traveling as a family.
Lori Petrel, Client Coordinator
Lori is the Client Coordinator for our Firm. Lori works closely with our Client Relations Manager as the first point of contact for new and potential clients interested in our services. Through a variety of dialogues and exchanges she can best assess a family’s situation and potential needs and work to facilitate their introduction to our firm and ultimately to one of our many elder law attorneys.
Lori grew up in Burgettstown, Pennsylvania. She spent the last nine years working with patients and families at skilled nursing facilities. Lori earned her Bachelor of Science from Slippery Rock University followed by her Master’s Degree in Social Work from California University of Pennsylvania.
She currently resides in Atlastburg, PA with her husband Jim, son James, and step daughter Sabrina. She enjoys bike riding, and spending time in the company of her family and friends.
Donna Taylor, Legal Assistant
Donna is a Legal Assistant with Julian Gray Associates where she assists firm attorneys and our clients with various estate administration and inheritance taxes matters. Donna has over 45 years of legal experience with the past 25 years focusing on estates and inheritance taxes. She currently resides in Chippewa Township and has one daughter and two grandsons in Virginia.
Donna grew up in Beaver County. Her interests include boating and water skiing, motorcycling, home remodeling and her dogs, Masin and Freeway.
Kelly Thomas, Legal Assistant
Kelly is a Legal Assistant at Julian Gray Associates concentrating in Elder Law, Estate Planning and Estate Administration matters. She works closely with clients to ensure that their planning needs are met.
In addition to being an experienced Legal Assistant, Kelly is a former Certified Financial Planner, Registered Representative and Trust Officer with over twenty-five years of experience assisting clients with their financial planning, estate planning and estate settlement needs. She graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration.
Kelly grew up in Oakdale, Pennsylvania where she currently resides.
