The Healthcare Professional’s Conference 2018 Overview
On Tuesday, May 15th we held our sixth Annual Healthcare Professional’s Conference at the Hilton Garden Inn Pittsburgh/Southpointe. We were thrilled to have record attendance of close to 250 attendees made up of area Nurses, Social Workers, Nursing Home and Personal Care Home Administrators.

Julian E. Gray, Owner of Julian Gray Associates and a Certified Elder Law Attorney, hosted the day and began with “The Cost of Failing to Plan-What I Wish I Would Have Known Legally and Financially Before the Crisis”.
Francesca Chervenak, Senior Attorney from the Pennsylvania Health Law Project, presented the very complex topic of “Community Health Choices – What Advocates Need to Know”.
Rachael Wonderlin, from Dementia By Day, LLC. provided creative information on “Dementia-Friendly Environmental Design”.
Stacie Bonenberger and Anneliese Perry from the Jewish Healthcare Foundation provided helpful information for all with “Every Day Closer to Better; Quality Improvement for Long-Term Care”.
Charles Alter from the Allegheny County Office of Behavioral Health lead a lively discussion about “Emergency Response and Treatment via the Mental Health Procedures Act”.

2018 League of Community Leaders Award Recipient
The “LOCL” (League of Community Leaders) Award was presented to Chief Robert Farrow from the Pittsburgh EMS, for their healthcare partnership in the City of Pittsburgh by providing advanced and basic life support, pre-hospital care and transportation of the sick and injured.
The award was provided by M.A.S.H. (Marketing Admissions Supporting Healthcare) and presented by the Co-Chairs of the networking organization, Kerry Beck and Shandra Harcarik. Julian Gray Associates presented the organization with a donation of $500 which will go to Veterans Place of Washington Boulevard as requested by Chief Farrow.
